Turner hammers visiting Whitewater

BELOIT - The Beloit Turner boys basketball team stayed unbeaten with a 72-54 victory over Whitewater Thursday night.

The Trojans sprinted to a 43-17 lead at halftime and cruised the rest of the way.

Dai'Vontrelle strong scored 13 of his 15 points in the first half, while Jordan Majeed also finished with 14. Kenny Draeving added 14 points for Turner.

The Trojans (4-0) will travel to Kaukana to take on Freedom on Saturday.

• BRODHEAD 74, CLINTON 39: The Cardinals and Cougars played two nearly identical halves, with the Cardinals leading 37-20 at halftime before outscoring Clinton 37-19 in the second half.

Owen Lefiker led three Cardinals in double figures with 15 points. Connor Green added 14 while Cade Walker had 12.

Clinton was led by Tony Rangel's 12 points.

• MCFARLAND 80, BIG FOOT 58: The Chiefs fell to undefeated McFarland Tuesday night as Pete Pavelec scored 20 points to lead the Spartans.

Mason Bennett had 18 for the Chiefs, who trailed 35-30 at halftime before being outscored by 17 in the second half.
