Cassioppi tops No. 3 wrestler

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Hononegah graduate Tony Cassioppi celebrated his 20th birthday in style Sunday night.

Cassioppi, a redshirt freshman for the University of Iowa wrestling team, pulled a significant upset when he defeated Wisconsin heavyweight Trent Hilger 3-2 in Iowa City.

Hilger was an NCAA All-American last season and currently ranked third in the country. Cassioppi is currently ranked 12th in the country, but could move into the top 10 after his landmark win.

The Hawkeyes defeated the Badgers 32-3 in the dual meet.
