BELOIT - The Beloit Snappers put together their third consecutive sterling performance Monday night in an 11-3 victory over Quad Cities at Pohlman Field.
After sweeping the River Bandits in a doubleheader Sunday, the Snappers scored a run in the first and six more in the third to take command of the game.
Joseph Pena walked and Payton Squier tripled him home for the game's first run.
The six-run explosion all happened with two outs in the third. Four straight singles by Nick Osborne, John Jones, Devin Foyle and Anthony Churlin brought four runs in, while Skyler Weber capped the rally with a two-run double.
Weber cracked his fourth home run of the season, a two-run shot in the fifth inning, to make it 9-0.
The Snappers weren't done yet, increasing the advantage to 11-0 in the sixth on an RBI single by Squier and an RBI grounder by Jones.
Beloit starting pitcher Reid Bilingmair was terrific, allowing just five hits and a walk in six scoreless frames.
Joe DeMers earned his second save of the season by pitching the final three innings and allowing three runs (two earned).
The Snappers will welcome in Cedar Rapids for a four-game series starting Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
