BELOIT - The Beloit Turner baseball team was well-represented on the recently released All-Rock Valley Conference squad.

Leading the way was senior pitcher Cory Walker, who was named RVC Player of the Year after stellar work both on the mound and at the plate.

Also earning first-team honors were teammates Preston Viens at pitcher, Kyle Hanaman at catcher and infielder Drew Ries.

Walker, Viens and Ries were unanimous selections by coaches.

Outfielder Jack Scharlau made the second-team, while Riley Phalin and Keegan Marquardt each earned honorable mention.

Big Foot's Jack Gillingham and Jack Hereley each made the first team, while Brodhead's Payton Johnson was a second-team selection.

Clinton's Clay Ward earned honorable mention, as did Evan Ruplinger.

Turner's Jeff Clowes garnered Coach of the Year honors after guiding his team to a 20-3 record, including a perfect 18-0 conference record.
