OREGON, Wis. - Bobby Frisch of Beloit held off Scott Riedner to pick up the win in the 20-lap feature for the Dave's White Rock MISfitz at the Madison International Speedway last Friday night.

Thirteen MISfitz were on hand for their second-ever race in a division where drivers must maintain speeds so that their lap times are at 20 seconds or higher.

Rick Coppernoll started on the pole for the 20-lap feature for the MISfitz. Danny Church Jr. was up to challenge for the lead and on lap 7 the two got together bringing out the caution and relegating both to the rear of the field.

Frisch inherited the lead on the restart and it all came down to the final lap when the leaders had to work their way around lapped traffic coming out of the final turn with Frisch coming out on top by less than a car length.

Scott Riedner wheeled his truck to a fast time with a lap of 20.093 (89.583 mph). Ray Hellenbrand took the checkered flag in the Dash. Heat races were won by Frisch and Church Jr.

In other divisions, Rusty Hansen (NASCAR Late Models), Nick Schmidt (Bandits) and Ronnie Osborne (Bandits) also took home checkered flags.

• UP NEXT: Racing at MIA continues on Friday with Kids' Night featuring free admission for all kids 11 and under. Racing action will take place in the NASCAR Late Models, Sportsman, Bandits and the Bandoleros. There will also be a $1,000 coin scramble for the kids at intermission.

• LUNDBERG RUNNERUP: Rockton's Matt Lundberg finished second to Slinger's Nick Egan in the 48-lap Big Eight Late Model Series "Class at the Downs V" at Hawkeye Downs Raceway in Cedar Rapids, Iowa over the weekend.

Michael Bilderback of South Beloit was seventh in the race.

Egan remains first in the point standings with 114 points, followed by Lundberg (102). Bilderback is fourth with 99.

The next Big Eight event will be June 28 at Madison International Speedway in Oregon, Wis. Along with a large post-race Fireworks Display, the Big 8 'weekly warriors' are set to share the spotlight at Madison with the USAC Silver Crown Champ Car Series.
