ROCKFORD - Sportsfan Radio 1330, Rockford's 24-hour sports station, will hold its inaugural Student/Athlete Sports Equipment Drive on May 4 in the Don Carter Lanes parking lot (4007 E. State St., Rockford).

From 8 a.m.-noon, you can drop off used equipment, which will then be donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Rockford, the Rockford Park District and Ken-Rock Community Center.

Sportsfan is looking for items for boys and girls ages 6-14 including baseball/softball gloves, bats, baseball/softball cleats, soccer cleats, football cleats, track cleats, kids golf clubs, kids golf bags, baseballs, footballs, basketballs, skateboards, in-line skates, scooters, knee pads/elbow pads, hockey equipment, hockey skates, standard ice skates, tennis rackets, running shoes, tennis and basketball shoes.
