RSC U18 Gold wins Reddan Shootout title

The Rock Soccer Club U16 Gold Team won the 2019 Reddan Spring Shootout for the Boys U16 bracket in Verona, Wis., last weekend. The team consists of players from Rock County who attend high schools in Beloit, Janesville, Milton, Fort Atkinson and Cambridge.

The team is competing for the first time at the state level. They were recently accepted into the WYSA First Division. They are only the third RSC team accepted into the state league, which consists of teams from LaCrosse, Madison, Green Bay, Fox Cities, Metro Milwaukee and Kenosha/Racine areas.

RSC went 4-0 in the recent tournament, outscoring opponents 16-1. They defeated FC U16 Boys Black 5-0, the Wisconsin Rapids WR U16C Derringe 2-0, Madison FC U16 Boys Black 3-0, and in the championship game Bavarian Milwaukee Bavarian White 6-1.

Mike Clarquist is the RSC U18 Gold's head coach and Don Vesely assists him.
