Vinni Pastore picked up a free bowling ball at the Wisconsin State Tournament in Wausau, Wis., Sunday.
He may not want to use it for awhile, though. He's doing pretty well with his old one.
The big left-hander rolled the second 300 of his career during the doubles competition at Dale Weston Lanes. With the perfect game came a new ball as a reward.
"The ball I rolled the 300 with was a used ball," Pastore said. "I got it from my doubles partner Kyle Mathews. In fact all my bowling balls are ones Kyle got tired of."
The 300 ball was an Ebonite Legacy. The perfect game came in the second game of a 792 series. In all, he strung 19 strikes. He had bowled his first 300 in 2012 at Park Lanes.
Pastore, 30, bowls regularly on Thursday nights at Viking and carries a 220 average.
"I've been bowling pretty well," the Rockton resident said. "I've had a couple front tens. But it sure felt good to finish one out."
