Chiefs, Cougars win regional tilts

WALWORTH, Wis. - The Big Foot Chiefs rolled over St. Francis 86-24 Tuesday night in a WIAA Division 3 regional game, and junior guard Reagan Courier eclipsed the 1,000-point career mark in the process.

The Chiefs jumped all over St. Francis, leading 58-15 at halftime and allowing just nine points in the second half.

Courier scored 14 points, while Abby VanDeBogart scored 16 to lead all scorers.

Big Foot, the seventh seed, will travel to second-seeded Marshall Friday night.

• CLINTON 82, RACINE ST. CAT'S 60: The Cougars blasted St. Cat's, wasting no time in getting out to a 44-26 halftime lead and easing their way to a first-round WIAA D-3 win.

Liz Kalk led the Cougars with 15 points, while Addy Ciochon had 14, Olivia Roehl finished with 13 and Hannah Welte had 11.

The sixth-seeded Cougars travel to third-seeded Martin Luther Friday night.

• DODGEVILLE 58, TURNER 50: The Trojans saw their season come to an end Tuesday with a loss at Dodgeville.

Turner led 23-18 at halftime, but were outscored 40-27 in the second half. Olivia Tinder went 11-for-16 from the free throw line and finished with a team-high 19 points. Sabrina Fitzgerald finished with 13 pints.

• PARKER 73, BELOIT MEMORIAL 59: The Vikings ended the Purple Knights' season Tuesday night in a WIAA Division 1 playoff game.

The Knights trailed 40-21 at halftime and were unable to recover.

Ter'Rayjanay Peppers led the Knights with 12 points, along with freshman Tajah Randall. The Knights finished the season with a 1-22 record.

Jenna Olin hit a pair of treys en route to 15 points, while Lexy Olson hit three treys on her way to 12 points.

The Vikings trailed 25-23 at halftime, but rallied to win.

Parkview will play at Brodhead Friday night.
