BELOIT - The Beloit Memorial boys gave Middleton a strong run before falling 56-45 at Barkin Arena.
Jaden Bell led the Knights with 20 points, while Amariah Cook added 12.
Middleton led 25-21 at halftime and was led by Sam Close, who nailed five 3-pointers en route to 20 points.
The Knights will be home again Thursday night when they take on Madison West.

The Cougars trailed 41-35 at halftime before the Eagles turned it on in the second half to notch the win.

• MARSHALL 88, PARKVIEW 86 (2 OT): The Vikings dropped a heartbreaker on the road Tuesday night. Marshall forced overtime with a banked-in 3-pointer at the buzzer in regulation. With 6.6 seconds remaining in double overtime, Marshall split a pair of free throws to go up two, then held Parkview on the game's final possession.
Aydon Campbell led the Vikings with 35 points, while Eli Hoscheit and Adrian Meza each had 17. Justin Balch chipped in with 12.
• GIRLS BASKETBALL: EVANSVILLE 41, BELOIT TURNER 26: For the second straight night, the Turner girls struggled on offense and fell on the road.
A night after not scoring for the final 8:40 of the game against Big Foot, the Trojans managed just 11 points in the first half and 26 total against the red-hot Blue Devils.
Sabrina Fitzgerald and Olivia Tinder each finished with seven points, while Paige Banks led Evansville with 22.
