After donating to clinic, Fury blank Icebergs, 7-0

MONROE, Wis. - The Rock County Fury were big winners Thursday night. So was the Monroe Clinic Mammography Department.

Prior to their 7-0 rout of the Stoughton Icebergs, the Fury presented the Clinic's Kim Einbeck and Tina Bolden with a check for $1,011, raised during the team's Pink the Rink Night in Monroe Dec. 21. The Fury held the event to help raise cancer awareness and chose the Clinic as their charitable cause. Sales from T-shirts, baked goods and games were all donated.

The Fury then pummeled the Icebergs with Mya Maslonka scoring two goals and Anika Einbeck, Alyssa Knauf, Haley Knauf, Sara Nerad and Cammi Ganshert all scoring one each.

Earning assists were Nerad (two), Maslonka, Presley Kovacevich, Einbeck and Kylie Evans. Rock County outshot the Icebergs 35-15.

• UP NEXT: The Fury travel to the Madison Ice Anrea to play the Madison Metro Lynx at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
