Cunningham sparks Bucs

BELOIT - Senior Candace Cunningham fell just one steal shy of a triple-double in leading the Beloit College women's basketball team to a 66-50 victory over visiting Illinois College Saturday.

The Buccaneers improved to 3-10 overall and 2-4 in MWC play. IC dipped to 6-8 and 2-5.

Cunningham led the Bucs with 21 points and 14 rebounds as well as nine steals.

After leading 31-27 at halftime, the Bucs outscored IC 35-23 in the second half. In addition to Cunningham's double-double, Shelby Kline had 13 points, Kelly McLean 12 and Lauren Glaser had five assists.

• UP NEXT: The Bucs visit St. Norbert at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
