BMHS swimmers capture title in Rock County meet

BELOIT - Beloit Memorial's boys swimming team used superior depth to capture the title in the Rock County Championship swimming meet Thursday at the BMHS Natatorium.

The Purple Tide piled up 731 points. Janesville Parker (639) was second, followed by Craig (425) and Milton (304).

Beloit's Bem Saladar won the 100 butterfly (56.56 seconds) and the 100 backstroke (57.58). Anthony Jacobson of the Tide took the 200 individual medley (2:06.56) and the 500 freestyle (5:13.66).

The Knights also picked up wins by Nathan Sill in the 50 free and C.J. Light in the 100 free (52.86). Light was second in the 200 free (1:59.11) while Sill was runnerup in the 100 free (52.97) and Ben Levy was second in the 100 butterfly (1:00.81).

The Knights won the 200 medley relay (1:48.29), the 200 free relay (1:40.11) and the 400 free relay (3:29.08).

Taking thirds for Beloit were Max Saladar in the 200 IM (2:15.70) and 100 breaststroke (1:08.24) and Kana Wong in the 100 fly (1:01.26)
