SOUTH BELOIT - The South Beloit girls basketball team took home a victory Monday night, defeating Illinois Math and Science Academy 29-27.

The SoBos were led by Kaya Lervik's nine points, all of which came in the first half as the SoBos led 19-13 at intermission. Madalyn Brooks added eight points for South Beloit, which won for the first time this season.

• UP NEXT: The SoBos will play at Dakota Wednesday night.
