BMHS outshoots Parker by 28-1 margin in 10-0 romp

BELOIT - Complete domination. That was the story of Beloit Memorial's 10-0 victory over visiting Janesville Parker Tuesday night.

The Purple Knights out-shot the Vikings 28-1 on the way to the victory, which was halted at the 61-minute mark due to the mercy rule.

Beloit scored twice in the first five minutes to set the tone and eventually grabbed an 8-0 halftime lead. Danny Salazar led the way for the Knights, finishing with four goals and an assist. Oscar Mar-Garcia added a pair of goals, while Johnny Lenon, Alex Tello, Angel Casique and Aldo Torres each scored as well.

The Knights will be back in action Thursday when they host Delavan-Darien for on senior night.

• VOLLEYBALL: MCFARLAND 3, BELOIT TURNER 0: The Trojans put up a strong fight in game one, but were unable to sustain the momentum to break through for a win Tuesday in Beloit.

The Trojans fell 25-23 in game one, then lost 25-14 and 25-11 to close the match.

Turner was led by Daley Wilson's six kills.

• BOYS VOLLEYBALL: MIDDLETON 3, BELOIT MEMORIAL 1: The Purple Knights broke through for one game against Big Eight power Middleton Tuesday night, losing 25-12, 25-10, 23-25, 25-8.

The Cardinals, ranked third in state, flexed their collective muscle to finish the match. Brett Kiger had four kills while Kamryn Bach had three kills and four blocks for Beloit. Baylor Moore led the way with 11 assists.

The Knights will be back home Thursday when take on La Follette.
