BELOIT - The Beloit College men's soccer team had three different players score in a 3-1 victory over Augustana College (Ill.) at the Strong Complex Wednesday afternoon.
Less than 20 minutes in, Grady Spencer took a free kick from the right side into the box to Jason Venzke, who found the far post to beat the keeper for an early 1-0 Beloit lead.
Thirteen minutes into the second half, Tyler Markell tallied the equalizer for the Vikings. In the 70th minute, the Viking keeper came out on a slow roller down the middle of the field. His attempted pass was intercepted by Freddy Widmer who chipped it back over the goalie's head for his first goal of the season.
Less than 10 minutes later, the Bucs' Griffin Engel struck again for a 3-1 lead.
Beloit keeper EJ Lowney, who took over in net for the second half, recorded two saves picking up the win.
