Russell Smith, of the Tiffany and Beloit, WI area passed away on July 5, 2019 at Beloit Memorial Hospital.
He was born on February 12, 1933 to Harold and Fern Markley Smith. Russell served his country in the 82nd Air Born Division of the U.S. Army and spent 13 months in Japan. He married Theresa Lynch on July 11, 1981.
Russell sponsored youth fast pitch baseball for both Shopiere and Tiffany. He farmed in the Clinton area then was a mechanic for Vern Schmuck. He retired from the Durst division of Regal Beloit in 1995. He loved the outdoors. Russell spent special time fishing and hunting with his family in the Northwoods of Wisconsin.
Survivors include his with of 38 years, Theresa Smith; step son, Leon (Zetta) Lynch; step granddaughter, Shamara Lenoir; step great granddaughters, Heaven Rufus and Emoni Darden; brothers, Gale (Mary) Smith and Gary (Nancy) Smith; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, sisters Milbrith Halley, Gladys Townsend and Beverly Draves, brother Ronald Smith, nephew Scott Smith, nieces Debra Smith and Mindy Alexander White.
Private family services for Russell were held. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
