Mary Ann Huggins, 87, of Beloit, WI, was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She was called home unexpectedly on June 3, 2019 to be with her parents, husband, infant niece Tammy whom she shared a birthday with, and previously deceased loved ones.
She was born on July 19, 1931 at home on Elm St. in Beloit, WI, to Michael and Betty (Elsie) Dittle-Collins. Mary Ann graduated from Brother Dutton School and Beloit High School. Mary Ann married Leslie (Les) Meyers, Jr. together they had three children Michael (Cathy) Meyers, Terry (Nancy) Meyers, Rusty (Paula) Meyers all of Beloit. Mary Ann later married Wallace (Wally) Huggins in 1975. He predeceased her on March 1, 1992.
Mary Ann worked for her father Michael Collins at Gateway Associated Service, Beloit Credit Bureau, and Welcome Home Interiors. Her guidance, sense of humor, passion, and determination, always willing to lend an ear, will be missed by all. We love you mom and will miss the guidance you have provided throughout our lives.
Survivors include her sisters Patricia (Ted) Kamlager (Beloit), Sandra Thornbury (Janesville); grandchildren, Michelle Meyers, Josh Meyers, Alison (Patrick Berner) Meyers, Matt (Tonya) Meyers, Jacob Meyers, Natalie Meyers; great grandchildren, Gage Meyers, Missy Caldwell, Gavin Meyers, Graham Meyers, many loving nieces and nephews; she is also survived by step children, Debra (Robert) DeHart, Darcy (Merrill) McCoy, step grandchildren, Kallie (Andy) Anderson, Josh (Heath) Jensen, Katie Jensen (Tim) Mullen, Melissa (Justin) Friske; sisters-inlaw, Marlene (Eric) Thorson, and Darlene (Gerald-deceased) Huggins.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Ann will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2019 in Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 2222 Shopiere Road, Beloit, WI, with Fr. Michael Resop officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawn Cemetery, South Beloit, IL. Visitation of remembrance will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with a Scripture service at 4:45 p.m.
A memorial will be established at a later date.
