Beloit man arrested for theft from bar

BELOIT - A Beloit man suspected of stealing tip jars from a local bar has been arrested, according to Beloit police.

Michael A. Young, 45, was arrested Monday on the possible charge of theft and from a building and bail jumping. He reportedly took a tip jar from the Grand Slam tavern at 173 W. Grand Ave., according to the department media report. He was arrested while he was at another tavern, according to the Beloit Police Department Facebook page.

Command staff could not be reached for further comment as of press time Wednesday.
