BELOIT - The Beloit City Council on Monday will review a development agreement with ABC Supply Co. regarding its plan to build a new four-story office building in Beloit.
The council will review the development agreement that includes language for public infrastructure improvements at the site to include a public sidewalk, an improved pedestrian crossing and a new traffic signal at the intersection of White Avenue and Prince Hall Drive.
Construction at the site is ongoing, with an expected opening in early 2020. The $30.5 million, 132,000-square-foot project was unveiled in December of 2018, with the capacity to house 600 ABC Supply employees.
Around 200 new jobs will be created for the new development.
The council will also consider authorizing City Manager Lori Curtis Luther to apply for a $5,000 Wisconsin Department of Transportation for Economic Assistance (TEA) grant for the infrastructure improvements.
The council also could take action on a final plat amendment for an extension of the Oaks subdivision for 26 lots.
