Authorities arrest driver in police parking lot

BELOIT - Beloit police didn't have to go far to make an arrest of a Beloit woman suspected of drunk driving on Friday, with an officer making an arrest in the police department parking lot, according to police report records.

Elizabeth I. Castaneda, 29, was arrested in the parking stall of a Beloit squad car Friday, after dispatch reported traffic complaint calls about her vehicle in the area of McKinley and Saint Lawrence avenues at around 4:39 p.m., according to the report.

She was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) - second offense, police said.
