Man dies following two-vehicle crash

TOWN OF BRADFORD - An 85-year-old Fontana, Wisconsin man died Tuesday after a two-vehicle crash on East U.S. Highway 11/14.

According to a news release from the Rock County Sheriff's office, the crash was reported at about 1:41 p.m. on Highway 11/14 near South County Road C.

The Fontana man reportedly was driving north on County Road C and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Highway 11/14.

His vehicle was struck broadside by an eastbound vehicle driven by a 76-year-old man from Delavan, Wisconsin.

The Fontana man was taken to Mercy Hospital in Janesville where he was later pronounced dead.

The Delavan man and his 70-year-old wife were taken to Mercy Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries and released. All three people were wearing seat belts.

Deputies from the Rock and Walworth County sheriff's offices as well as EMS personnel from from Clinton and Darien responded to the crash. A doctor from MD-1 also was on the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
