Police: Burglars use vehicle to crash into gas station

TOWN OF BELOIT - A burglary was reported at the Marathon Gas Station at 2760 S. Prairie Ave., where a vehicle crashed into the building to gain entry.

The burglary was reported around 4:12 a.m., according to a news release from the Town of Beloit Police Department. An undetermined amount of currency was taken.

A witness described two male suspects of thin build, one being 6 feet tall, wearing dark clothing and hoods.

A third person was the driver of a white van. The van was last seen southbound on Prairie Avenue.

The van, which had been stolen from a business in Madison, was later located by the Beloit Police Department in the 2300 block of Tumble Weed.

Information is being sought about this crime.
