State candidates to attend forum

JANESVILLE - Candidates for State Senate and Assembly will weigh in on topics impacting health and wellbeing of Rock County residents at a candidate forum on Oct. 16 in Janesville.

The forum will be held at 6 p.m. at the Voigt Music Center, 34 S. Main St. The event is sponsored by the Rock County Prevention Network that includes Youth2Youth 4 Change, Healthy Edgerton, Janseville Mobilizing 4 Change and Building A Safer Janesville.

Local health experts will present an overview of issues and audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions in a moderated Q&A format.

Candidates include Mark Spreitzer, D-45, Libertarian challenger Reese Wood; Amy Loudenbeck, R-31, Democratic challenger Brittany Keyes; Don Vruwink, D-43, Republican challenger Gabriel Szerlong; sole District 44 state rep. Debra Kloste, D- 44 and lone state senate District 15 candidate Janis Ringhand, D-15.
