City approves payment for water damage

BELOIT - After a claim was filed by American Family Mutual Insurance on behalf of a former Beloit city council member, the current council authorized the city to pay $20,000 following closed session discussion.

According to the claim filed on behalf of former councilor Douglas Eddy on July 28, the city installed a faulty water meter which caused water damages to property owned by Eddy at 400 E. Grand Ave.
