Janesville man identified after body found in alley

JANESVILLE - a 58-year-old Janesville man has been identified as the person whose body was found in an alleyway Monday.

The body of Michael P. Terry was found by Janesville Police at about 10:57 p.m. Monday in an alleyway at 20 S. Main St., according to a news release from the Rock County Medical Examiner's Office. Terry was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy was performed Tuesday in Dane County and additional testing is underway. The investigation into the death is continuing.

Initial reports indicated the cold weather may have played a role in the death.
