BELOIT - The School District of Beloit Board of Education met Sept. 6 and 7 for a board retreat to create an effective governing team relationship between the board members and Superintendent Stanley Munro.

The objectives of the retreat were to participate in team building activities; develop a set of protocols to guide interactions and best practices; develop an understanding of roles and responsibilities of the board and superintendent, including collaborative and servant leadership and ethical governance; and establish clear goals and priorities for the district.

"The ultimate goal of this retreat is to develop a roadmap to success for the School District of Beloit and all of its members including families, students and staff," Munro said.
