Pedestrian dies after being hit on Parker Drive

JANESVILLE - A Janesville pedestrian died Friday when he was hit by a car in the 1200 block of Parker Drive, according to a Janesville Police Department news release.

Dale R. Brockway, 45, died shortly after the crash which was reported around 8:53 p.m., according to a news release from the Rock County Medical Examiner's Office.

A southbound car hit the pedestrian and the accident was witnessed by a Janesville police officer who was in the area at the time. Accident reconstruction indicated the vehicle was traveling at 27 to 31 mph at the time of the accident, which is below the 35 mph speed limit in the area. The driver demonstrated no signs of impairment and was not cited for any violations.
