TOWN OF BELOIT - A Janesville man has been arrested following a traffic stop where Town of Beloit officers found explosive materials in his vehicle, according to command staff.

Glenn Hetzer, 61, was stopped on Bartells Drive at around 4:26 p.m. on July 5 after officers suspected he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. During a search of the vehicle, officers recovered "binary explosives," or items that independently aren't considered a bomb, but if assembled could be, command staff said. Unauthorized pills also reportedly were found in the vehicle.

He was arrested on the possible charges of OWI - first offense, possession of an OC device (pepper spray), possession of explosives and possession with intent to deliver a schedule four narcotic and misdemeanor bail jumping, according to command staff.
