Woman accused of selling sick puppies

JANESVILLE - A Janesville woman has been charged for allegedly selling puppies infected with a deadly virus to a family in January, according to Rock County court records.

Nicole L. Musick, 40, is charged with misdemeanor mistreating animals - intentional or negligent violation, after a Port Washington, Wisconsin couple reported that they had purchased two puppies from Musick.

One of the puppies had to be euthanized by a veterinarian following complications from Parvovirus and the second was treated for it, according to the complaint filed against her.

According to court records, Musick has been convicted of not providing sufficient water for dogs and dogs running at-large.
