Winnebago election judges needed

ROCKFORD - Winnebago County Clerk Lori Gummow is recruiting individuals from both major political parties to become election judges in the April 2 election.

There is a need for new judges in almost every township, according to Gummow.

Election judges are paid $120 for the day plus $10 additional for attending the training class.

Election judges are required to attend a training class.

Two classes are scheduled for March 21, at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., at the IBEW Local Union Hall #364, 6820 Mill Road, Rockford.

Those interested in being an election judge can call 815-319-4252.

Applicants must live in Winnebago County and be registered to vote in the next election.
