MADISON - State Rep. Mark Spreitzer, D-Beloit, was appointed to serve on eight committees as his new term in the Wisconsin Assembly begins.
Committees he will serve on are Agriculture, Assembly Organization, Campaigns and Elections, Criminal Justice and Public Safety, Forestry, Parks and Outdoor Recreation, Local Government, Rules and Sporting Heritage.
"I am looking forward to serving on these committees in the 2019-20 session and to get to work on the issues that matter to my district." Spreitzer said. "My background as a former Beloit City Councilor will inform my service as the ranking member on the Local Government Committee. I will stand up for local control and fight to ensure the State Legislature is enacting laws that will help local governments across the state."
