Last Midtown Market, Cars and Coffee event set for Saturday in Rockford

Photo provided In this photo, a 1956 Oldsmobile arrives at the Cars and Coffee car show in Rockford. This Saturday will be the last chance to attend Cars and Coffee or the Rockford Midtown Market before they conclude for the season.

ROCKFORD - The last 2019 Rockford Midtown Market and Cars and Coffee car show will be held from 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday in the RPS 205 parking lots, 501 7th St., Rockford, across from Katie's Cup.

The Cars and Coffee event will feature the Northern Illinois Corvette Club and the Stateline Challengers Club. All makes and models are welcome. The Winnebago County Sherriff K-9 Crew will do a presentation at 9 a.m. There will be a kid's hoola-hoop contest, tricycle races and shopping cart races, as well as a toy car giveaway and bikes for a boy and girl.

The event is held rain or shine. There is no cost to participate or to attend. Signs will be displayed to direct people where to park.

The Rockford Midtown Market features farmer Bob produce and many vendors. It will include music, food, crafts, coffee and is pet friendly, Katie's Cup is also sponsoring a pork chop lunch from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
