Photo provided Two visitors enjoy the wetlands station during Family Nature Day at Nygren Wetland Preserve in Rockton. The Natural Land Institute (NLI) announced it has received a $2,407.49 grant for their 2019 Family Nature Day from the Dr. Louis and Violet Rubin Fund of the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois Community Grant Program. Family Nature Day is a free family themed event that features 12 learning stations scattered throughout Nygren Wetland Preserve that will engage all ages in learning about the natural world. This year's event will be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on June 22. Registration can be made at online at www.naturalland.org or call 815-964-6666.
