Welty Center seeks clean-up volunteers

BELOIT - Welty Environmental Center, 1201 Big Hill Court, will hold volunteer workdays from 10 a.m.-noon every Saturday this spring.

Volunteers can join Welty and their prairie partners, Rock County Conservationists and Green-Rock Audubon, for a morning of early-spring clearing, chopping and clearing the Big Hill prairie in preparation for growing season.

Interested individual should bring their own hand tools, gloves, safety glasses and hard-toed shoes. All new participants are required to fill out a City of Beloit waiver, available onsite on each work day. Children age 14 and below must be accompanied by adult.
