The Beloit Rotary Club has recognized Mara Fowler and Mya Bosco as Rotary Students of the Week for F.J. Turner High School.
Mara Fowler is the daughter of Brad and Lachel Fowler.
Mara has been on high honor roll all four years at Beloit Turner High School. She has taken AP calculus AB, AP statistics and AP US history. She is a member of the National Honor Society.
Mara is a varsity member of the basketball and softball teams. She earned All-Conference Honorable Mention in softball. She is also a member of the Environmental Club.
During the summer months, Mara is employed by the City of Beloit and the Stateline YMCA.
In the fall, Mara plans on attending UW-Madison or UW-Whitewater and will major in Elementary Education with a minor in psychology.
Mya Bosco is the daughter of Laura and David Bosco.
She has been on high honor roll all four years of high school. She also participates in the National Honor Society and has since her junior year.
Mya has taken AP calculus AB which was her favorite subject. She ended the class with a high A and a 4.12 GPA.
In her free time, Mya is also involved working at three different jobs. Mya has had three jobs since her sophomore year when she discontinued her sports career playing left side hitter for volleyball and shortstop for softball.
Mya is considering attending either UW-Oshkosh or UW-Madison to study human science with a minor in accounting.
