BELOIT - In February, Fruzen students and families gathered to celebrate Reading Night. The theme was "For the LOVE of Books!" Over 800 books were sent home with families to help build home libraries and foster a love of reading. Families were also treated to a fabulous meal, home baked treats and delicious custard.
Students earned raffle tickets by participating in activities that focused on reading, writing and loving books. Activities included: Book Bingo, creating personalized bookmarks, poetry readings, a musical "Book Walk" and more.
It was a busy night that ended with a raffle for book boxes and book shelves built by Fruzen Tech Ed students and their teacher Steve Johnson, as well as BMHS's Eric Stibbe. Food was provided by Napoli's, Culver's, and Fruzen staff and students.
