Noah Taylor and Gabrielle Smith have been selected as Rotary Students of the Week at F.J. Turner High School.
Noah Taylor is the son of Tim and Lori Taylor.
Noah has been on the high honor roll all of his years in high school. He has taken AP US History, AP Calculus AB, AP Government and Politics, and AP Statistics. He is currently in AP Calculus BC, AP English, and AP Physics. He is also a member of the National Honors Society.
Noah is currently involved in Yearbook Club, and Science Olympiad. He has been on the track team for two years. He also tutored kids struggling in math in 7th, 8th and 9th grade.
Noah was a volunteer for Careertek's Dare to Dream Event. He was able to help out in preparing for a wonderful event.
Noah is currently employed by Woodman's.
Noah hopes to go to school at UW-Madison or UW-LaCrosse.
Gabrielle Smith is a senior at Beloit Turner High School and is the daughter of Billy and Karla Smith.
Gabrielle has been on the high honor roll for all four years of high school and has taken five advanced placement courses: AP US History, AP Government, AP Calculus AB, AP Statistics, and AP Biology. She has a GPA of 3.943 and is ranked ninth in her class.
Not only is she successful in the classroom but also outside the classroom with the Turner dance team where she received her varsity letter, the position of captain and has qualified for state. She also manages the Turner softball team and received her varsity letter there as well.
Gabrielle is very involved with the art department and has received the Statewide Team Art Mentor Program and had her piece sent to an exhibit in Madison.
Along with school, dance, softball and art, she also is employed with the City of Beloit.
Gabrielle plans to major in biology and hopes to minor in art. She is still unsure of where she will be attending.
