ROCKFORD - Children of all ages can get "Crazy About Chemistry" from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Nov. 12 at the Discovery Center Museum, 711 N. Main St., Rockford.

A day off from school doesn't have to be a day off from fun and learning. Visitors can combine safe and simple materials to create chemical changes that fizz, foam and make color changes galore.

The event is included with museum admission. Admission cost is $8 per person and free to members and children ages 1 and younger.

The event is sponsored by Thermo Fisher Scientific and the Illinois Arts Council Agency.
