JANESVILLE - The following events are scheduled in the month of October for family and community caregivers.
• Caregiver Boot Camp will be held from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. on Saturday at the Rock County Job Center, Room D/E, 1900 Center Ave., Janesville. Topics will be what memory loss, dementia and Alzheimer's is and what it means, preparing for future decisions, local resources and more. Registration required.

• Understanding and Managing Dementia Related Behaviors will be held from 2-4 p.m. or 6-8 p.m. on Oct. 16 at the Rock County Job Center, Room K, 1900 Center Ave., Janesville. This event will provide information on where behaviors come from and how to manage changes in a person with Alzheimer's disease and related dementia.

• Music and Rejuvenation for Family Caregivers will be held at 2 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 23 at Rotary Gardens, 1455 Palmer Drive, Janesville. This event is for those who are caring for loved ones dealing with issues associated with aging, dementia or disability. It will provide family caregivers time to relax and rejuvenate. Uplifting music, refreshments and fun will fill the session. The cost is $10 per person and preregistration is required.
