JANESVILLE - The Rock County Council on Aging (RCCA) is seeking individuals who have an interest in issues affecting older adults and persons with disabilities to serve on the agency's advisory council. Older adults with an interest in services and policy for the aging network are encouraged to apply.
The RCCA Advisory Board is a 15-member body. Members of the committee are appointed to three year terms by the Rock County Board of Supervisors and begin on Jan. 1, 2019. Meetings are held at 9 a.m. on the third Wednesday of the month at the Council on Aging office, 3328 US Highway 51 North, Janesville. Meetings are open to the public.
The Rock County Council on Aging is a department of county government for the primary purpose of administering programs or services for older people in Rock County. As the county aging unit, the Rock County Council on Aging administers programs that relate to such issues as elderly nutrition, benefits counseling, health promotion, caregiver support and transportation.
