'Move Halloween to last Saturday'

Print Article

Sorry to be a Fuddy Duddy.

Halloween was snowed out. Yet the City of Beloit is willing to risk the well being of children and the insurance of all the home owners in Beloit.

Do any of us think children will come in when a bounty of candy is out there? Just how many slip and falls can or did occur? Where is emergency management on this? Could this affect the city insurance rating by failing to issue a warning?

I think we should move Halloween to the last Saturday in October. At least it would be on a weekend instead of the busy work week.

Just some thoughts from a Fuddy Duddy.
