A young mother leaves her partner because his physical violence endangers their infant. A 6-year-old with parents who misuse alcohol and drugs has social problems at school. A teenager runs away from an abusive home to be lured by a "kind" stranger into exchanging sexual favors for a place to stay.
Because of generous volunteers and donors, members of our community facing challenges such as these can turn to Family Services of Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois, Inc., a United Way Blackhawk Region partner agency, for help that builds hope and develops skills for leading healthier, happier lives.
