'Recognize our nurses'

Print Article

During National Nurses Week, May 6-12, Mercyhealth is honoring our 2,000+ nursing employee/partners for their invaluable service. Whether working at the bedside in our hospitals or in one of our many outpatient clinics and specialty centers, our nurses make a meaningful difference in the lives of others every day.

Their professionalism and unwavering commitment to our patients and their families is second to none. From the nurses who welcome our newborn patients in our birthing centers and those providing highly specialized care, thank you. To nurses and staff working tirelessly to provide 24/7 emergency trauma services, and to those caring for patients and families in their final stages of life, thank you. To the staff who provide a warm and calm reassurance to worried patients in the middle of the night, who hold a hand, lend an ear and are advocates for their patient, thank you.

To celebrate our compassionate partners - and all of the generous caregivers nationwide - I hope you will join me in paying tribute to this indispensable group of individuals. If you know or have been touched by a nursing professional, please take a moment to say thank you.

On behalf of Mercyhealth, thank you, Mercyhealth nurses, for your life-saving care and life-changing work. I am proud to work alongside you as we serve our communities with a passion for making lives better.
