From considering a complete restructure of our intermediate schools to hiring a new superintendent, our district is going through a time of uncertainty and change.
Megan Miller is the right candidate for our district. As a former teacher, she understands the needs of our students, teachers, and community. As a Beloit citizen, she has worked tirelessly to be an advocate and ally, consistently seeking collaboration and consensus.
She is proud of this district, its students, and staff. She has a realistic view of our community's needs, and strives to make data-driven decisions. She sees the amazing work already happening and has clear ideas for enhancing the talent and potential we have in Beloit.
As a former Little Turtles Playhouse daycare board member, I have experienced first hand her ability to listen, collaborate, and consult. As a school board member, she will listen to concerns and be open to fresh ideas. Miller strives to truly hear the needs of teachers, parents, and students and help craft nimble, fact-based solutions to best support those needs.
Perhaps most importantly, she sees students as whole people who bring diverse life experiences, talents, and needs to the classroom. She understands that so much affects our students' behaviors and supports an approach that addresses the whole child. This is exactly the approach our students need and deserve.
On April 2, vote Megan Miller for Beloit school board.
