'Proud of schools, students and staff'

Print Article

Your story on the front page Jan. 23 covered the snowstorm and mentioned the area's school closings, Turner, Rock County Christian, Parkview and Clinton. No mention of South Beloit or Hononegah.

It's OK. We already knew the schools were closed.

Maybe not enough subscribers in Rockton, Roscoe, South Beloit. Just seemed strange.

Maybe you would like to know the state of Illinois school report card gave all five South Beloit schools a grade of commendable. Also, the educational rating at all five was commendable. I'm sure Hononegah received high marks as well. The report card was sent out in November 2018.

We, south of the border, are extremely proud of our schools, teachers, administrators, and especially our students.
