'Thanks for support of our craft show'

Print Article

Faith Lutheran Church would like to thank the Stateline Area for their support of our recent craft show sponsored by Thrivent, held at St. Peter Catholic Church's Didier Hall.

Despite the surprise snow, road construction and new location, we had a wonderful event. With over 40 crafters and vendors, fabulous door prizes and bake sale, we were able to raise enough money to send $1,000 of our proceeds to Lutheran Disaster Response.

Among the first to respond to a disaster and the last to leave the site, Lutheran Disaster Response (LDR) has a reputation for serving communities even when other agencies have packed up. Working mostly behind the scenes, it's able to respond so readily through an extensive network of partnerships around the world. 100% of money goes toward this worthwhile charity.

So, thanks again to all of our crafters and vendors, shoppers, Faith Lutheran Church volunteers, especially Pat Wicks, and a special thank you to staff members of St. Peter Catholic Church: Father Sabo, Cindy Godawski, Jeanne Pulkrabek, and Steve Hatch, and the Altar Guild.

It's great to know that Catholics and Lutherans can get along together as neighbors and believers! We wish everyone a very blessed and Merry Christmas!
