Honoring Fire Prevention Week

Austin Montgomery/Beloit Daily News (From left): Beloit Fire Department Deputy Chief Jason Griffin and Fire Pup stopped by Angeli Soto and Jaque DeGeorge's third grade class at Hackett Elementary to talk about fire safety and prevention during national Fire Prevention Week. The fire department is getting out to multiple district schools to spread the word about fire safety. The department will partner with the Town of Beloit Fire Department this week for a fundraiser benefiting the Survive Alive House, a fire simulator that lets kids practice fire safety. The fundraiser will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.
