Photo provided Father Mike Resop, pastor at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church (OLA), gives a blessing and speaks to the children about peace on Sept. 19 as OLA students from grades 5K to 5th participate in the international Pinwheels for Peace Project. Each student made a pinwheel and decorated it to show their hopes for a peaceful world. They were then "planted" outside the school as an art instillation to encourage those who see them to choose peaceful words and resolutions to problems in their lives and community.
