BELOIT - Over 400 residents from the Rock County area joined the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's in the fight to end Alzheimer's disease on Sept. 29, at Riverside Park in Beloit. Participants raised more than $55,000 to fund Alzheimer's care, support and research programs.

This year's top fundraising team was Evansville's End to Alzheimer's raising more than $5,000. High school senior Kaitylnn Finfrock, of Evansville, was the team captain and was also the top individual fundraiser. Kaitlynn and her family walked in memory of Kaitlynn's Great Grandmother.

Kaitlynn's father, Kristian Finfrock, said "I am so proud of Kaitlynn for bringing awareness and raising money for a cause so near and dear to us both. The fact that she walked in honor of my grandma and her great-grandma was just icing on the cake."

As Kaitlynn looks to high school graduation, the Finfrock family hopes to continue to raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimer's Association.
